Meta AnalysisEfficacy and safety of phytoestrogens in the treatment of perimenopausal and postmenopausal depressive disorders: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Depression is one of the most common and specific symptoms among menopausal women, leading to significant personal, family, and economic burdens. Some studies have shown that phytoestrogens can help relieve symptoms of depression. ⋯ Phytoestrogen can relieve depression symptoms among menopausal, especially for postmenopausal women who take low doses(25 mg/d ≤ dose ≤ 100 mg/d) of phytoestrogens for a long-term duration. Although mild adverse reactions have been reported, phytoestrogen could be considered as a complementary treatment for postmenopausal depression.

ReviewNatriuretic Peptide Release during Exercise in Patients with Valvular Heart Disease: a Systematic Review.
Serum biomarkers have a potential role in the risk stratification of patients with heart valve disease and may help determine the optimal timing of intervention. Much of the published literature relates to biomarker sampling in a resting state, but the relationship of exercise biomarkers is less well described. We performed a systematic review to examine the significance of exercise natriuretic peptides on echocardiographic variables and cardiovascular events, in valvular heart disease. ⋯ The results suggesting that exercise natriuretic peptide levels may have additive prognostic importance over resting levels, as well as demographic and echocardiographic data.

Meta AnalysisThe association of dietary energy density and the risk of obesity, type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome: a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies.
There is a growing body of evidence linking dietary energy density (DED) with metabolic disorders like obesity, type 2 diabetes (T2D) and metabolic syndrome (MetS). However, according to our knowledge, there has been no systematic review and mate-analysis on T2D and MetS with DED. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the association between DED with the risk of obesity, T2D and MetS in a systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies. ⋯ In this systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies, we found that the DED increased the risk of T2D and MetS but was not significant with the risk of obesity.

Meta AnalysisSystematic review and meta-analysis for the value of thyroid disorder screening in men with ejaculatory dysfunction.
To demonstrate evidence from available clinical studies to clarify the scientific points that have been achieved in relation to thyroid disorders and ejaculatory dysfunction (EjD). ⋯ The causal relationship between EjD and thyroid disorders remains to be clarified. Sufferers of delayed ejaculation acquired PE subjects, and PE sufferers who have accompanying erectile dysfunction and/or anxiety may benefit from thyroid disorder investigation.

ReviewSystematic evaluation of the diagnostic approach of inflammatory bowel disease guidelines.
To collect and evaluate the diagnostic approach of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) guidelines and provide useful feedback for guideline developers and evidence-based clinical information to help physicians make decisions. ⋯ The included diagnostic CPGs for IBD were generally of good quality, but heterogeneity was identified. Addressing these issues will provide useful feedback for the guideline updating process, and it will also benefit current clinical practice and eventually patient outcome.
