Meta AnalysisOpen nephroureterectomy compared to laparoscopic in upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma: A Meta-Analysis.
We performed a meta-analysis to evaluate the effects of open nephroureterectomy compared with laparoscopic nephroureterectomy on postoperative results in upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma subjects. ⋯ Laparoscopic nephroureterectomy in subjects with upper urinary tract urothelial carcinoma may have a longer operation time, shorter hospital stay, lower blood loss, transfusion need and overall complication compared with open nephroureterectomy. Further studies are required to validate these findings.

The novel coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) illness and deaths, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2, continue to increase. Multiple reports highlight the thromboembolic complications, such as pulmonary embolism (PE), in COVID-19. ⋯ This review summarises the current understanding of prevalence, pathophysiology, role of diagnostic imaging modalities, and management, including catheter-directed therapy for COVID-19 associated PE. It also describes infection control considerations for the radiology department while providing care for patients with COVID-19 associated PE.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of rhomboid intercostal nerve block, erector spinae plane block and serratus plane block on analgesia for modified radical mastectomy: A prospective randomised controlled trial.
Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumours among women. In this study, we compared the analgesic efficacy of ultrasound (US)-guided rhomboid intercostal nerve block, erector spinae plane (ESP) block and serratus plane block (SAB) after modified radical mastectomy (MRM) of unilateral breast cancer. ⋯ US-guided rhomboid intercostal block (US-RIB) and ESP block can effectively reduce the dosage of tramadol within 24 hours after MRM, and they can effectively relieve pain within 24 hours after MRM compared with SAB.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of the analgesic effects of two quadratus lumborum blocks (QLBs), QLB type II vs. QLB type III, in Cesarean Delivery: A randomised study.
Quadratus lumborum blocks (QLBs) are relatively novel regional anaesthesia techniques, and the efficacy of all three types of QLB for postoperative analgesia in caesarean delivery (CD) has been demonstrated in separate studies. The aim of the present study is to compare the analgesic efficacy of the QLB-II and QLB-III blocks performed at the end of surgery in patients undergoing spinal anaesthesia for CD. ⋯ The analgesic efficacy of QLB-III was superior to QLB-II in patients who had undergone CD under spinal anaesthesia without use of intrathecal opioids and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of Dry Needling and Kinesio Taping Methods in the Treatment of Myofascial Pain Syndrome : A single blinded randomized controlled study.
The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of kinesio taping (KT) and dry needling (DN) in the treatment of myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) of the trapezius muscle. ⋯ In the treatment of MPS, adding DN or KT to exercise programme may provide important contributions to the treatment.
