The role of preoperative ultrasound in the diagnosis of penile fractures and the effect of tunica defect length on postoperative functional outcomes.
This study aimed to investigate the rate of tunica defect detection by postoperative penile ultrasound (US) and the effect of tunica defect length (TDL) on functional outcomes. ⋯ US is a valuable tool for the detection of tunica defects especially with >11mm length. In addition, TDL >11 mm in penile fractures is associated with lower IIEF-5 scores in the early postoperative period and higher rates of penile nodules.

Impact of abdominal obesity on outcomes of catheter ablation in Korean patients with atrial fibrillation.
Effects of abdominal obesity on outcomes of atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation remains ill-defined. Here, we evaluated the impact of abdominal obesity on the long-term efficacy and safety of catheter AF ablation among Korean patients. ⋯ Abdominal obesity as indicated by waist circumference was associated with a greater burden of concomitant diseases and an independent risk factor for long-term redo AF intervention following catheter ablation but had no effects on total peri-procedural complications.

Patients with schizophrenia have decreased COVID-19 prevalence among hospitalized patients with psychiatric and neurological diseases: a retrospective analysis in Mexican population.
Increased coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) incidence and mortality in hospitalised patients with psychiatric and neurologic disorders have been reported. ⋯ The prevalence of COVID-19 in hospitalised patients with psychiatric disorders is increased compared with that of the general population; however, a lower mortality rate was detected. Also, an increased risk of COVID-19 was detected in patients with comorbidities. Interestingly, the observed variation in COVID-19 prevalence in patients with schizophrenia and intellectual disability was not associated with age or other specific medical diagnoses.

Clinical characteristics and sick leave associated with infectious mononucleosis in a real-world setting in Germany.
Infectious mononucleosis (IM), mainly caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, can result in prolonged symptoms. The objective of this study was to look at the length of sick leave, diagnosis of IM, treatment and comorbidities in a real-world setting in Germany. ⋯ A small percentage of patients remained on continuous sick leave after 6 months, suggesting that the long-term effect of IM on the ability to work was minor in our cohort. However, patients could still be experiencing symptoms that influence their quality of life.

Medication Reconciliation at hospital admission and discharge: evaluation of fidelity and process outcomes in a real-world setting.
The study aimed to assess the fidelity of Medication Reconciliation (MR) delivered by the pharmacist at hospital admission and discharge, and the process outcomes. ⋯ This study found a high number of UD, suggesting flaws in the implementation of MR and highlight the importance of quality measurement.
