Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of 3334 cases with prediagnosis coronavirus disease - 2019 (COVID-19) in Turkey.
This study aims to analyse the epidemiological and clinical features of the patients admitted to the hospital with the prediagnosis of coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) in Turkey. ⋯ The mean leukocytes, neutrophils and platelet counts of patients with positive RT-PCR were found to be lower than the ones with negative RT-PCR. The mean serum levels of CRP were found to be higher in patients with lung involvement compared with other patient groups.

Increased Short-term and Long-term Mortality in Community- and Hospital-acquired Hypernatremia and in Patients with Delayed Serum Sodium Correction.
This study examined the short-term and long-term mortality of community- and hospital-acquired hypernatraemia in a large cohort of general hospitalised patients, and the impact of delayed serum sodium correction in hypernatraemic patients. ⋯ Hypernatraemia, regardless of acquisition origin, is associated with elevated short-term and long-term mortality. Hospital-acquired hypernatraemia was more common and had a higher short-term mortality than community-acquired hypernatraemia. Failure to correct hypernatraemia by hospital day 3 is associated with increased mortality.

Comparison of Rapid Antibody Test and Thorax Computed Tomography Results in Patients who Underwent RT-PCR with the Pre-Diagnosis of COVID-19.
In this study, it is planned to compare the real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test, which is the gold standard in the diagnosis of COVID-19, with thorax computed tomography (CT) and rapid antibody test results. ⋯ Rapid antibody test and thorax CT examinations were found to have low diagnostic value in patients who admitted to the emergency department of our hospital and whose first RT-PCR SARS-CoV-2 test was positive. Studies involving larger patient groups are needed for their use alone in diagnosis and screening.

Observational StudyAssociation between the dietary inflammatory index and obesity in otherwise healthy adults; role of age and sex.
The dietary inflammatory index (DII® ) can estimate the overall inflammatory potential of diet. This study aimed to assess the association between DII score and other diet quality parameters with weight status among normal weight, overweight and obese otherwise healthy adults. ⋯ This study showed that having a normal body weight is not necessarily indicative of less inflammatory potential of diet and better diet quality. Male sex and increasing age were important determinants of diet quality across BMI subgroups.

Factors associated with the stone-free status after retrograde intrarenal surgery in children.
Paediatric urolithiasis has a recurrent nature because it is frequently associated with metabolic or anatomical disorders or infectious conditions. The rising incidence of the disease with its recurrent nature emphasises the need for minimally invasive therapeutic options. In this study, we aimed to evaluate efficacy and factors affecting the success of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) in children. ⋯ RIRS is a minimally invasive method with low complication rates in the treatment of childhood stone disease. Higher stone-free rates are obtained in low HU stones and cases in which we used 4.9 F tip F-URS.
