Group B Streptococcus Colonisation, Prevalence, Associated Risk Factors and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Pattern Among Pregnant Women Attending Antenatal Care at Dschang District Hospital, West Region of Cameroon: A hospital-based Cross-Sectional Study.
Group B Streptococcus (GBS), also known as Streptococcus agalactiae, is a Gram-positive bacterium known for its ability to colonise the vaginal and rectal areas of the mother and is a leading cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity. This study aimed at determining the prevalence, associated risk factors and antimicrobial susceptibility of GBS colonisation among pregnant women attending antenatal care (ANC) at Dschang District Hospital. ⋯ Our findings suggest that we found that, induce abortion, spontaneous abortions and stillbirths were highly associated rates of GBS colonisation, while fever and anaemia were associated with lower rates of GBS colonisation. Further longitudinal research is needed to establish the causal relationship and its biological mechanisms.

The Perspectives of Dermatology Specialists and Residents on COVID-19 Vaccines: A Questionnaire-based Survey.
To evaluate the perspectives of dermatology specialists and residents on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines. ⋯ The acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination may be affected by working conditions, medical experience, level of knowledge and the presence of risk factors for severe disease among dermatology residents and specialists.

A New Parameter For Predict The Clinical Outcome of Patients With Covid-19 Pneumonia: The Direct/Total Bilirubin Ratio.
An urgent need to define clinical and laboratory parameters to predict progression to the severe and lethal forms of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). To investigate the direct/total bilirubin ratio (D/TBil), as a novel parameter, to predict the poor survival of COVID-19 Pneumonia. ⋯ D/TBil > 0.5 was associated with a novel parameter to poor survival of COVID-19 on admission. Also, the combination of age, gender, the presence of hypertension, D/TBil and NLR contributed significantly to predicting the poor survival of COVID-19.

Serum neuregulin 4 (NRG-4) level and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD): a case-control study.
The current case-control study aimed to examine the association of circulating neuregulin 4 (NRG-4), a brown fat-enriched endocrine factor, with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). ⋯ The results of the present study demonstrate that circulating NRG-4 levels may play a protective role in NAFLD.

Do carboxyhemoglobin and methemoglobin levels predict the return of spontaneous circulation and prognosis of cardiac arrest patients?
Early prediction of return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) for cardiac arrest (CA) patients is a major challenge. Different biomarkers have been studied as an early predictor for ROSC, but a consensus has not been achieved in this regard. This study's goal was to investigate the value of the carboxyhaemoglobin (COHb) and methaemoglobin (MetHb) levels as a predictive marker for ROSC and prognostic marker for patients who achieve ROSC. ⋯ COHb levels in the blood gas analysis at the time of admission could be used as a predictive marker for ROSC and prognostic marker for the patients who achieved ROSC.
