The Relationship between Plasma Pentraxin 3 and Serum Amyloid P Levels and Disease Activity in Ankylosing Spondylitis.
In clinical practice, it is hard to judge the level of disease activity in some patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) who have low traditional acute phase reactant values such as erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP) but have considerable pain and inflammation. The aim of this study is to investigate plasma pentraxin 3 (PTX3) and serum amyloid P (SAP) levels in patients with AS who had normal ESR and CRP but high disease activity. ⋯ In patients with AS, plasma levels of PTX3 and SAP were found to be elevated when compared to healthy controls. No association was observed between these biomarkers and disease activity.

Prognostic Prediction Using the Clinical Data and Ultrasomics-Based Model in Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) Combined with Acute Kidney Injury (AKI).
A model was constructed based on clinical and ultrasomics features to predict the prognosis of patients in the respiratory intensive unit (RICU) who had acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) combined with acute kidney injury (AKI). AKI ensues after ARDS in RICU ordinarily. The prognostic prediction tool was further developed on this basis. ⋯ The prognosis of ARDS patients combined with AKI is usually poor. The combination model based on clinical and ultrasomics features had the highest predictive performance. This model can be used to improve the clinical outcome and prognosis.

Association between Neutrophil Levels on Admission and All-Cause Mortality in Geriatric Patients with Hip Fractures: A Prospective Cohort Study of 2,589 Patients.
To evaluate the association between neutrophil levels and all-cause mortality in geriatric hip fractures. ⋯ Neutrophil levels are associated with mortality in geriatric hip fractures and could be considered a predictor of death risk in the long-term. This study is registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (ChiCTR) as number ChiCTR2200057323.

Accuracy of Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Prenatal Diagnosis of Choledochal Cysts: A Single-Center Retrospective Analysis.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the accuracy of prenatal MRI in diagnosing choledochal cysts (CDC), evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of MRI signs in the diagnosis of fetal CDC, and first compare the trend of size of CC between prenatal and postpartum. ⋯ Prenatal MRI is higher than that of US for diagnosing CDCs, specifically in identifying the location of the cyst and confirming the origin of the cyst. The length, width, and size of the CDC become slightly bigger in our study.

Clinical Study on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Complicated with Knee Bone Infarction.
The present study aims to (1) analyze the clinical characteristics and related influencing factors of knee bone infarction in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and (2) improve the understanding of SLE complicated with knee bone infarction. ⋯ The risk of knee bone infarction was relatively high in patients with SLE within a 5-year disease course and in young patients. The risk factors were Raynaud's phenomenon, anti-nRNP antibody positivity, and early high-dose glucocorticoid therapy.
