Multicenter Study Observational StudyReal-world therapeutic management and evolution of patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia in primary care and urology in Spain.
This study aimed to describe the real-world therapeutic management of patients with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) (LUTS/BPH) attending primary care and urology clinics in Spain. ⋯ Most patients with LUTS/BPH received pharmacological treatment; however, most men with progression criteria did not receive a 5ARI alone or in combination. These results support the need to reinforce both primary care and urologists existing clinical guideline recommendations for the appropriate medical management of patients with LUTS/BPH.

Multicenter StudyThe Effect of Risk Factors on Surgical and Oncological Results in High - Risk Prostate Cancer: A Multicenter Study of the Urooncology Society, Turkey.
To evaluate the effect of risk factors and selected surgical methods on operative and oncological results of patients undergoing radical prostatectomy (RP) with high-risk prostate cancer (HRPC). ⋯ RP alone is an effective treatment in the majority of patients with HRPC and PLND did not affect the progression rates after RP. According to the number of pre-operative high-risk features, as the number of risk factors increases, there is a need for additional treatment.

Multicenter StudyEffect of COVID-19 Medications on Corrected QT Interval and Induction of Torsade de Pointes: Results of a Multicenter National Survey.
There are some data showing that repurposed drugs used for the Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) have potential to increase the risk of QTc prolongation and torsade de pointes (TdP), and these arrhythmic side effects have not been adequately addressed in COVID-19 patients treated with these repurposed medications. ⋯ This cohort showed significant QTc prolongation with all COVID-19 medications studied, however, life-threatening arrhythmia of TdP occurred rarely. Among the repurposed drugs studied, hydroxychloroquine or lopinavir-ritonavir alone or in combination with azithromycin clearly demonstrated to increase the risk of critical QT prolongation and/or TdP.
