Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyClomiphene citrate or aromatase inhibitors for superovulation in women with unexplained infertility undergoing intrauterine insemination: a prospective randomized trial.
To compare clomiphene citrate (CC) and letrozole used for superovulation before intrauterine insemination (IUI) in unexplained infertility. ⋯ This study found no superiority between letrozole and CC for inducing ovulation in women with unexplained infertility before IUI.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyCost-saving treatment strategies in in vitro fertilization: a combined economic evaluation of two large randomized clinical trials comparing highly purified human menopausal gonadotropin and recombinant follicle-stimulating hormone alpha.
To assess the cost-effectiveness of two gonadotropin treatments that are available in the United Kingdom in light of limited public funding and the fundamental role of costs in IVF treatment decisions. ⋯ Treatment with HP-hMG was dominant compared with rFSH in the United Kingdom. Gonadotropin costs should be considered alongside live-birth rates to optimize outcomes using scarce health-care resources.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyLow-dose oral contraceptive pill for dysmenorrhea associated with endometriosis: a placebo-controlled, double-blind, randomized trial.
To evaluate the efficacy of a low-dose oral contraceptive pill (OCP) for patients with dysmenorrhea associated with endometriosis. ⋯ The present study clearly demonstrated for the first time that OCPs could be used to effectively and safely treat pain associated with endometriosis.

Multicenter Study Comparative StudyNoninvasive metabolomic profiling of embryo culture media using Raman and near-infrared spectroscopy correlates with reproductive potential of embryos in women undergoing in vitro fertilization.
To determine if metabolomic profiling of embryo culture media correlates with reproductive potential of individual embryos. ⋯ Rapid, noninvasive metabolomic profiling of human embryo culture media using Raman or near-infrared spectroscopy combined with bioinformatics correlates with pregnancy outcome.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyA multicenter randomized, controlled study comparing laparoscopic versus minilaparotomic myomectomy: short-term outcomes.
To compare the laparoscopic and minilaparotomic approaches for symptomatic uterine leiomyomas treatment in terms of safety and feasibility. ⋯ Laparoscopic and minilaparotomic approaches to myomectomy are two safe and minimally invasive surgical procedures. A careful evaluation of the dimensions and localizations of fibroids are needed to address to the right choice to the best approach.
