Pulmonary artery sarcoma is a rare tumor. We present a case of intimal sarcoma arising from right pulmonary artery and left lower pulmonary vein observed in a 44-year-old man with a non-productive cough. Computed tomographic scans and magnetic resonance imaging showing filling defect enhancement contributed early, suggesting the diagnosis of primary vascular tumor, hypothesis confirmed by pathologist findings.

Median arcuate ligament syndrome is a rare disorder resulting from luminal narrowing of the celiac trunk. The classic management of median arcuate ligament syndrome involves the surgical division of the median arcuate ligament fibers in order to decompress the celiac trunk. ⋯ A few authors have described a successful laparoscopic release of celiac artery compression syndrome. Laparoscopy provides a less invasive, but equally effective method for decompressing the celiac trunk.

Sturge-Weber syndrome is characterized by capillary malformations in the face, associated with leptomeningeal and choroidal venous malformations. Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome consists of the triad: capillary malformation of one leg, ipsilateral hypertrophy and varicose veins. ⋯ Similar descriptions of dual or overlapping syndromes have been published. Many show that there is no clear distinction between Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome and Sturge-Weber syndrome. There is a clinical and biological overlap. The complexity of the disease phenotypes shows that a classification based on an eponymous category does not enable resolution of the nosological problems. Some authors suggest that these vascular malformations are best described in anatomical/histological or functional terms. We report a new observation that illustrates these difficulties.

[Limb lymphedema as a first manifestation of primary intestinal lymphangiectasia (Waldmann's disease)].
Primary intestinal lymphangiectasia (Waldmann's disease) is characterized by protein-losing enteropathy occurring more frequently in childhood. Chronic diarrhea and diffuse edema are the main clinical manifestations. Peripheral lymphedema may also be associated. ⋯ No dietary management with a low-fat diet was added. Search for primary intestinal lymphangiectasia with biological parameters would be useful when primary lymphedema is present. Especially since primary intestinal lymphangiectasia may be complicated by occurrence of B cell lymphoma.

Tobacco use causes enormous morbidity and mortality because of the high risk of smoking-related diseases and the high prevalence of cigarette smoking. Existing smoking cessation methods only help motivated smokers who are ready to quit, but the vast majority of smokers are pre-contemplators who are neither ready nor willing to attempt to quit. This means that a high proportion of smokers are not adequately served by current strategies for treating tobacco dependence. ⋯ The corresponding reduction in exposure is associated with tangible health benefits, measured using surrogate markers. Smoking reduction also promotes abstinence in smokers who are unable or unwilling to quit smoking abruptly. NRT is well tolerated for smoking reduction, and nicotine intake does not increase during concomitant use of NRT and smoking.
