Autophagy functions as a prosurvival mechanism in multiple myeloma (MM). The objective of this research was to establish an autophagy-related gene (ARG) signature for predicting the survival outcomes of MM patients with TP53 mutations. ⋯ We established a three-ARG risk signature which manifested an independent prognostic factor. The nomogram was testified to perform well in forecasting the long-term survival of TP53-mutated MM patients.

Investigating how circular RNAs (circRNAs) function during tumorigenesis may help uncover novel diagnostic markers for cancer treatment. The oncogenic role of circ_001621 has been verified in osteosarcoma, but its role in lung cancer has yet to be reported. This research is the first to investigate the circ_001621 expression and regulatory mechanism in lung cancer. ⋯ The circ_001621/miR-199a-3p/GREM1 axis exhibits an association with the development of lung cancer, suggesting its potential as a future therapeutic target for the disease.

Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) functioning as competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNAs) play critical roles in tumour progression. However, prognosis-related ceRNA networks in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) have not been well characterised. ⋯ This ceRNA network contributes to understanding the pathogenesis of LUAD. Furthermore, the molecules in the network are valuable predictive factors for LUAD prognosis as well as potential therapeutic biomarkers.

NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) is implicated in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) pathogenesis. Here, we explored the role of NLRP3 in cigarette smoke (CS)-induced airway inflammation in COPD. ⋯ NLRP3 expression is elevated in lungs and sera of COPD smokers. Inhibition of NLRP3 significantly attenuates CS-induced airway inflammation in mice via inactivation of multiple hub genes and their related inflammatory processes and signaling pathways.

Avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANFH) is one of the most complicated bone disorders; management remains challenging. We evaluated the effect of lncRNA-MALAT1 suppression on ANFH rats. ⋯ LncRNA-MALAT1 suppression attenuated dexamethasone-induced femoral head necrosis by regulating AMPK/mTOR/Beclin-1 signaling.
