Maternal short-term outcomes of postpartum depression (PPD) were widely examined, but little is known about its long-term association with multiple chronic diseases (multimorbidity) in women's later life. This study aims to assess the association of PPD with chronic diseases and multimorbidity in women's mid-late life. ⋯ PPD was associated with higher risks of chronic diseases and multimorbidity in women's mid-late life. This finding supports the importance of perinatal and postpartum mental health care, and its role in the prevention of chronic diseases and multimorbidity throughout women's life course.

To provide estimates and trends for burdens of early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC) from 1990 to 2021 at the global, regional, and national levels, and to provide projections of EOCRC burden through 2030. ⋯ Between 1990 and 2021, the incidence and prevalence of EOCRC have escalated, whereas the death rate and DALY rate have declined. The burden varied with sex, SDI, and geographical locations. Given the rising trend of EOCRC burden, coordinated efforts are needed to reduce the burden posed by this malignancy.

Current research underscores the need to better understand the pathogenic mechanisms and treatment strategies for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). This study aimed to identify key targets involved in the progression of IPF. ⋯ BRSK2 is identified as a critical pathogenic factor in IPF, with strong potential as a therapeutic target. Future studies should focus on its translational implications and the development of targeted therapies to improve patient outcomes.

Adverse life experiences have been associated with increased susceptibilities to psychopathology in later life. However, their impact on psychological responses following physical trauma remains largely unexplored. ⋯ Both childhood maltreatment and adverse lifetime experiences were associated with post-injury psychopathology, irrespective of genetic susceptibility. Such findings highlight the importance of close surveillance and timely psychological interventions for injury patients with adverse life experiences.
