This study estimated delirium incidence in Slovak COVID-19 patients, explored treatment associations and examined the impact on hospitalization and mortality. ⋯ This study provides insights into delirium incidence in Slovak COVID-19 patients, treatment associations, and the importance of managing psychiatric symptoms and treatment choices for optimal outcomes (Tab. 6, Ref. 33).

Observational Study
Prevalence of diastasis m. rectus abdominis and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction in postpartum women.
The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of Diastasis of the rectus abdominis muscles (DRAM) and pelvic floor muscle dysfunction (PFMD) in postpartum women. Design: The observational prospective study. ⋯ The average IRD distance at rest and during the load test confirmed the first grade of DRAM out of four degrees of severity. Moderate and medium DRAM occurred according to location in an average of one-third of the cases. The highest percentage of DRAM was above the navel, and the lowest percentage below the navel. PFMD was detected in an average of one-third of cases. It is important to monitor these parameters with a view to improving the quality of life index in the future (Tab. 5, Ref. 22).

The purpose of the clinical study was to evaluate the risk of chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) after splenectomy and to analyze some biochemical and coagulation parameters. ⋯ The results of the study suggest that the incidence of thromboembolism after splenectomy was consistent with the present data, but the incidence of CTEPH after splenectomy was significantly higher. This suggests that post-splenectomy condition may be an independent risk factor for CTEPH and may imply different management of these patients in the future (Tab. 5, Ref. 18).

The last two decades have been leading to the development of several types of surgical techniques and procedures to manage the LHB lesions. This paper analyses and compares the difference in muscle strength pre- and post-operatively in two most commonly used surgical procedures - LHB tenotomy and tenodesis. ⋯ The study confirmed that the patients who had undergone LHB tenodesis show a significantly lower decrease in elbow flexion strength and a significantly lower incidence of "Popeye" deformity than the patients after LHB tenotomy. Moreover, in the tenodesis group, it was possible to initiate rehabilitation earlier. The incidence of postoperative complications was almost identical in both groups of patients (Tab. 10, Fig. 6, Ref. 40).

The aim of this study was to define the values of percutaneous ultrasound shear-wave and strain elastography of the pancreas in healthy volunteers. ⋯ We described normal values for pancreatic stiffness using ultrasound elastography by 2D-SWE and strain elastography. Our results indicate changes in values depending on BMI and depth of the pancreas. (Tab. 1, Fig. 5, Ref. 19).
