Clasificación de patrones anormales de autofluorescencia retiniana en el edema macular diabético.
Patients with diabetic macular edema can develop fundus autofluorescence alterations; thus far, these alterations have been more widely studied with scanning or confocal laser systems. ⋯ Different fundus autofluorescence phenotypic patterns are observed with flash camera systems in patients with diabetic macular edema. A more accurate phenotypic classification could help establish prognostic factors for visual loss or for the design of clinical trials for diabetic macular edema.

In Mexico, there are no appropriate statistical data on aortic disease, which can be treated with medical management or open or endovascular surgical approach. ⋯ An elevated rate of complications is reported for aortic pathologies due to underdiagnosis, which results in management being more complicated and prognosis unfavorable. The creation of a national aortic disease registry is crucial to standardization in the approach and optimization of results.

Osteoarthritis (OA) of the hip is a low-grade inflammatory disease of multiple etiology that has a limited conservative management and insufficiently explored. The application of botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) produces in the applied muscle a temporary, delimitable and reversible flaccid paralysis, which applicated in a strategic way achives to reduce mechanical stress and pain. ⋯ The treatment with BoNT-A provides a conservative and safe option for the management of symptoms and physical restraint caused by hip OA.
