Several risk scores have been developed to predict symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage (SICH) after acute reperfusion therapy for ischemic stroke. We compared the performance of established risk scores in predicting SICH after EVT under different SICH criteria. ⋯ Among various risk scores, the TAG and SEDAN scores best predict SICH after EVT. Higher glucose level and unsuccessful recanalization, which are included in the TAG and SEDAN scores, are independent risk factors of SICH in the present cohort, highlighting their detrimental effects.

The intergenic SNP rs10865331 at 2p15 was identified as a major risk factor for ankylosing spondylitis (AS) susceptibility in genome-wide association studies (GWAS). B3GNT2 gene regulates polylactosamine synthesis is potentially functionally relevant to AS disease development. We investigated whether SNP rs10865331 and two B3GNT2 SNPs (rs11900673 and rs1136151) are associated with AS susceptibility and disease severity in Taiwanese. ⋯ Our data suggest that B3GNT2 gene may contribute to AS development and affect AS severity by interacting with HLA-B27 in Taiwanese.

Suicide is a huge global health burden. High suicide rates with a low prevalence of major depressive disorder were reported in East Asia. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of suicidal behaviors in relation to the demographic characteristics and major depressive disorder in Taiwan. ⋯ Despite low prevalence, major depressive disorder remained a significant risk factor for suicidal behaviors in Taiwan.

Patient delay of COVID-19 patients occurs frequently, which poses a challenge to the overall epidemic situation. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the extent of patient delay, explore its factors, and investigate the effects of patient interval on epidemic situation. ⋯ Identification and quarantine of close contacts, promoting the spatial accessibility to fever clinics and creating public awareness are crucial to shortening patient delays to flat the curve for COVID-19.
