Coronavirus disease-2019 (Covid-19) is transmitted by respiratory droplets and causes upper respiratory tract symptoms. These features of Covid-19 are essential regarding its potential association with allergic rhinitis (AR). ⋯ We conclude that the prognosis of Covid-19 was similar between patients with and without AR. Significant difficulties can be encountered when installing posterior maxillary implants. Osteotome sinus floor elevation (OSFE) enables insertion of implants with insufficient bone height at the posterior maxilla using a special instrument known as the "osteotom." ⋯ OSFE without using bone grafts with simultaneous implant installation is a safe and reliable method with successful long-term results for he rehabilitation of edentulous posterior maxillae.

Acute mastoiditis is a suppurative infection of mastoid air cells and is the most common intratemporal complication of otitis media. ⋯ AM continues as an important disease of childhood. Successful results are obtained with systemic antibiotic therapy and additional surgical intervention as necessary. A careful evaluation of patients with a high ESR and those who received antibiotic therapy before hospitalization is appropriate due to the correlation between these factors and the risk of complication development.

Malocclusion can negatively impact the quality of life of children. Therefore, this study assesses the impact of proxy-reported malocclusion and oral health-related quality of life among children in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from the parents or guardians' perspectives. ⋯ The presence of some proxy-assessed malocclusion was associated with negative impacts on children's oral health-related quality of life. This is very important to consider when assessing the need for orthodontic intervention, especially at this stage as this age is critical in building a child's confidence and self-esteem.

Melanoma is a relatively rare tumour with tendency to metastasize to the gastrointestinal tract. Metastasis to the intestine constitutes a majority of the gastrointestinal tract melanoma metastases and confers a poor prognosis. While post-mortem studies detect that more than half of the melanoma patients have gastrointestinal tract metastasis, only minority are diagnosed, and even rarer present with intussusception. ⋯ In this report, we describe a patient with a melanoma in remission who presented with intestinal obstruction after months of vague abdominal complaints. Laparotomy revealed jejunal intussusception and histopathological staining confirmed the melanoma diagnosis. No other distant metastases other than the jejunum were revealed after extensive investigation.
