Musculoskeletal pain treatments are widespread in the clinical practice of physiotherapists. A multifaceted biopsychosocial approach should guide modern pain therapy. The study aimed to investigate the association of musculoskeletal problems with lifestyle behaviors. ⋯ The study concluded that the quantity of beneficial health practices boosted the health-related quality of life. To achieve long-term health, the complexity of the behaviour change needs to be supported by the individual's lifestyle pattern and the support of the data. Therefore, in this century characterized by chronic lifestyle-related illnesses, various health behavior modifications may be claimed to be a primary therapeutic skill of health professionals (individually and collectively).

Comparison of pregnancy outcomes of triangular 3-bites and mcdonald techniques of cervical cerclage in women with cervical insufficiency: A pilot study.
Cervical cerclage is the procedure of choice for preventing preterm birth due to cervical insufficiency. Despite the simplicity of the McDonald's method of cerclage application, it is still technically difficult to take four bites around the cervix before knotting. There is a need to develop a simpler method of cervical cerclage application with similar or improved pregnancy outcomes. ⋯ The new triangular three-bite technique has similar pregnancy outcomes with the conventional McDonald's technique and has shown a lower duration of procedure and blood loss. Since this is a pilot study, a well-structured randomized control trial to compare the two methods is recommended.

The benefits of antenatal care are maximized when women book early for care. However, despite these resounding benefits, women still book late, while others do not book at all, resulting in dire feto-maternal consequences. ⋯ Late prenatal booking is associated with a high prevalence of maternal anemia in labor, low mean maternal hemoglobin, and low birth weight compared to those of women who booked early and the reasons for booking late are multifactorial.

Essential oils (EOs) have a considerable amount of therapeutic and preventive effect in treating dental diseases due to their wider potential as antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agents. EOs like virgin coconut oil, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil thyme oil, and clove oil, when used in combination, may further have enhanced antimicrobial effects. However, limited information exists on the synergistic effect of these oils when used in combination, especially on the primary periodontal pathogen Porphyromonas gingivalis. ⋯ A combination of EOs possesses a potent antibacterial activity against P. gingivalis, and the antibacterial efficacy increases with increasing concentration of EOs.

SARS-coronavirus-2 has caused large number of infections globally. The infections have presented in a wave form in most of the countries. There have been differences in the clinical presentation, course, and the outcomes in the different waves. ⋯ The patients with COVID-19 illness in the second wave presented with more non-respiratory symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, and joint pains. The patients who had severe illness in the second wave were comparatively younger than the patients of the first wave. The requirement of ventilatory support and immunosuppressants was more in the second wave.
