Preeclampsia, a pregnancy complication associated with significant maternal and perinatal mortality and morbidity, has been found to be closely linked to dysfunction in the blood coagulation-fibrinolysis system. However, the relationship between hematologic data and severity and onset time of preeclampsia remains unclear. This study aimed to identify specific hematologic parameters in both preeclamptic and normotensive pregnant women and determine their potential significance in the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. ⋯ These findings have provided evidence on the hematologic coagulative actors in the pathogenesis and severity of preeclampsia.
