To evaluate the success of systemic single-dose methotrexate (MTX) treatment in patients with ectopic pregnancy (EP) and to investigate factors related to treatment success. ⋯ The success rate of single dose MTX in this study was 72.8 %, and we found that failure rate of MTX treatment was 8.45 times more in group of patients whose initial serum β-hCG values were above 2678 IU/L and 12 times more in patients with fetal cardiac activity.

The uridine nucleotide analogue sofosbuvir is a selective inhibitor of hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS5B polymerase approved for the treatment of chronic HCV infection with genotypes 1 - 4. The objective of the study was to evaluate the interim results of efficacy and safety of regimens containing Sofosbuvir (Zoval) among Pakistani population with the rapid virologic response (RVR2/4 weeks) with HCV infections. ⋯ Sofosbuvir (Zoval) is effective and well tolerated in combination with ribavirin in HCV infected patients.

To compare sustained viral response to sofosbuvir/ribavirin ±interferon therapy in patients of hepatitis C with and without liver cirrhosis. ⋯ Treatment outcome with sofosbuvir/ribavirin combination therapy in cirrhosis patients is suboptimal especially in those with decompensation as compared to patients without liver cirrhosis.

To explore the promoting apoptosis and antitumor activities of ferulic acid (FA) in human osteosarcoma and its potential mechanism. ⋯ Ferulic acid could significantly descend osteosarcoma cell viability through the promoting apoptosis pathway in which FA activates both caspase-3 and Bax and inactivates Bcl-2.
