To compare improvement in Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA) by Full Time Occlusion (FTO) or Part Time Occlusion (PTO) technique in children with monocular amblyopia. ⋯ Full time occlusion in children with monocular amblyopia results in greater improvement in BCVA as compared to part time occlusion of six hours per day.

To explore use of metacognitive skills by medical teachers in relation to Zimmerman's model of self-regulation. ⋯ During forethought phase, medical teachers predict their learning process through learning objectives and plan after brainstorming to make a concept map and use suitable learning resources. During learning, they monitor learning process through self-questioning and put extra-effort to meet the deadlines. During and after learning, teachers reflect on their performance.

The effects of antenatal corticosteroid exposure on the rate of hyperbilirubinemia in term newborns.
Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia is a short-lasting benign condition that affects approximately 60% of infants born at term infants. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of antenatal corticosteroid (ACS) exposure on the rate of hyperbilirubinemia in term newborns. ⋯ The neonatal hyperbilirubinemia was significantly decreased in term-born babies exposed to ACS before 34 weeks.

To explore the clinical efficacy of intravitreal injection of conbercept in combination with retinal laser photocoagulation in the treatment of diabetic macular edema. ⋯ Intravitreal injection of conbercept in combination with retinal laser photocoagulation performs better in improving the BCVA and central macular thickness of patients with diabetic macular edema compared to retinal laser photocoagulation and has high safety.

To compare and see the association of serum Lipoprotein (a) levels in younger and older patients suffering from acute coronary syndrome compared to healthy controls. ⋯ Serum lipoprotein(a) is strongly associated with coronary vascular disease especially in patients younger than 45 years of age despite comparable LDL and HDL between cases and controls, making Lp(a) likely independent risk factor for coronary vascular disease.
