Childbirth ranks amongst the most painful experiences a woman has to endure. In developing countries issues related to awareness, acceptability and availability of analgesia exist. This study aims to assess the knowledge, attitude and practices for labor analgesia amongst healthcare workers and patients. ⋯ There is a wide gap between knowledge and practice of labor analgesia. Healthcare workers have a role in educating women, to be advocates for labor analgesia and to educate patients timely for this service.

To determine the frequency of additional chromosomal abnormalities in Philadelphia chromosome positive Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) by conventional cytogenetic analysis. ⋯ The frequency of additional chromosomal abnormalities in our study were not in accordance with previous local and international studies.

To compare the neck length, relative neck length and height between patients with cervical spondylosis and healthy subjects. ⋯ Short height can be considered as a risk factor for cervical spondylosis. Short-statured individuals should be counseled to adopt measures for the prevention of cervical spondylosis.

To assess the relationship between internet addiction (IA) and academic performance among the medical students of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. ⋯ This study and many other previous studies have revealed that internet addiction affects academic performance. The number of internet users is ever increasing therefore, the number of internet misusers will also increase. If no step is taken to control internet addiction, it may cause a serious impact in the future.

To investigate the effects of maternal preeclampsia on inflammatory cytokines and neonatal outcomes in premature infants. ⋯ Maternal preeclampsia leads to an increase at the neonatal morbidities in premature infants without causing a significant alteration at the cytokine levels in cord blood.
