Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen with remarkable adaptation ability to thrive in diverse environmental conditions. This study aimed at phenotypic and molecular analysis of metallo beta lactamases (blaIMP, blaVIM, blaNDM-1 and blaSPM-1) and genetic diversity analysis among imipenem resistant clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. ⋯ A high prevalence of blaIMP and blaNDM-1 among imipenem resistant isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is alarming that calls for proper control and prevention strategies. RAPD technique was found to be a good genotyping technique when limited resources are available.

To assess the effect of different photosensitizers activated by low-level laser therapy on EBS of glass fiber post to radicular dentin. ⋯ P, CP, and TB along with EDTA have the potential to be used as canal disinfectant and favors the bonding of GFP to radicular dentin using self-etch adhesive resin.

To determine the patterns of per-operative parameters and early outcomes of patients that underwent CABG surgery during a four-year period. ⋯ More males underwent CABG surgery at this tertiary care hospital and the overall complication rate and per-operative parameters improved over the years. The non-risk stratified mortality in this study was found to be higher than developed nations.

To study the effect of ultrashort wave combined with loxoprofen sodium on serum inflammatory factors in patients with acute gouty arthritis. ⋯ An ultrashort wave combined with loxoprofen sodium in the treatment of acute gouty arthritis can reduce the inflammatory reaction, improve the degree of joint pain and swelling, improve the curative effect, and do not increase the adverse reactions. The results may be related to the regulation of IL-1 β, IL-8, TNF-a and MMP-3.

To investigate the correlation of serum ficolin-3 and C5b-9 with cardiac function and NT-proBNP in patients with heart failure. ⋯ Ficolin-3 was inversely associated with the severity of heart failure, while C5b-9 was positively associated with the severity of cardiac impairment. Both of them have nothing to do with the etiology of heart failure.
