To assess learning styles and the association of various teaching methodologies of medical students. ⋯ Students from different years of study at medical school did not have significantly different learning styles though the student's preferences to teaching methodologies seem to change over time in the respective learning style groups. Longitudinal studies are necessary to identify the factors influencing such change and explore the association between learning styles over time on teaching methodologies in medical education.

The paper uses ultrasound Doppler fetal heart rate detection algorithm to explore the placental characteristics of monochorionic twin pregnancy with selective fetal growth restriction, and discuss the correlation between selective fetal growth restriction and cord blood SFass FasL level. ⋯ Uneven placental share and non-central attachment of the umbilical cord may be risk factors for selective fetal growth restriction in monochorionic twin pregnancy.

Globally childhood diarrheal diseases continue to be the second leading cause of death. Cryptosporidium spp are important intestinal parasites that cause diarrhea in humans and animals particularly in developing countries. This investigation was carried out to find out the frequency of cryptosporidiosis in children presenting with persistent diarrhea. ⋯ The frequency of Cryptosporidiosis among children with persistent diarrhea was 28%. This high frequency indicates that this population is uniquely susceptible to infection. It also highlights the need for education about hygiene, accurate diagnosis, and treatment of Cryptosporidiosis. There is also a need for additional studies regarding the occurrence of this pathogen.

To determine the changes produced in mitral valve morphology after Percutaneous Trans-Venous Mitral Commissurotomy. ⋯ PTMC is associated with significant changes in mitral valve morphology in terms of splitting of the fused mitral commissures, increased MVA, improved leaflet excursion, and splitting of the subvalvular structures.

COVID-19 is a menace for Pakistan's fragile and overburdened health care system and infrastructure, insidiously permeating the socio-economic fabric. Globally complete to partial shutdown of educational institutions has been enforced, transitioning from face to face to online academics. Academic institutes are floundering to withstand the brunt. ⋯ Thirty two English language, full text articles published in the last ten years from 2010 to 2020 were selected for the literature review. With this literature review, we conclude that this lockdown has caused significant distortion in the academic world yet unequal interruption in learning with significant disruptions in internal assessments and qualification examinations with developing countries like Pakistan, compounded by a compromised educational system. However, COVID-19 is spurring the case for conversion to online academics and developing countries like Pakistan are poised to develop reliable, cost effective and secure online academic system whether it is bane or boon.
