Teamwork is a critical aspect of healthcare and is widely recognised as a cornerstone of effective patient care. However, not all healthcare teams are created equal, and some teams that appear to work well together on the surface are better described as pseudo-teams rather than true teams. This issue is frequently disregarded and overlooked despite its importance, yet it significantly impacts patient care and staff morale. We wish to describe the concept of pseudo teams in healthcare, their perils, and ways to create true teams characterised by shared goals, open communication, and a commitment to each other's success.

To assess the effectiveness and accuracy of deep brain stimulation in Parkinsonian Disease (PD). ⋯ Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an effective treatment option for a carefully selected patient. DBS improves tremors, dyskinesias, rigidity, motor fluctuations and bradykinesia. DBS is unlikely to benefit Autonomic dysfunction, cognitive disorders, hypophonia, and postural instability. Although it is an expensive treatment compared to lesioning or gamma knife, it is reversible.

To compare the results of operations of commercial uterine manipulators. Considering that the optimal uterine manipulator is still not found, our goal was to give an idea for gynecologists to choose the most suitable uterine manipulator for their purposes and expectations. ⋯ In our study, the choice of uterine manipulator did not affect the surgical results except for the duration of the operation. The personalization of uterine manipulators according to the needs of the surgery and the easiness of use of the surgeon should be at the forefront.

Stanniocalcin-2 (STC2), a secreted glycoprotein that is involved in the regulation of angiogenesis, was proposed as one of the mechanisms of neovascularization in hemangioma (HA). We aimed to investigate the effect of STC2 on proliferation and angiogenesis in hemangioma-derived endothelial cells. ⋯ Inhibition of STC2 suppresses HemEC proliferation and angiogenesis by VEGFR2/Akt/eNOS pathway, which warrants further development of STC2-based strategies for HA treatment.

To identify genetic causes of Shabbir syndrome in two patients of Pakistani origin. ⋯ Previously, the same variant has been found in most of the Pakistani Punjabi patients affected with LOC. Therefore, Pakistani Punjabi families affected with Shabbir Syndrome may be screened for c.151dup variant in LAMA3 using targeted sequencing. Sanger sequencing is a cost-effective and time-saving technique as compared to whole exome/genome sequencing. Hence, developing ethnicity-specific LAMA3 targeted molecular diagnostic test would be cost-effective. Further, the study would assist in carrier testing and prenatal diagnosis of the affected families.
