Previous studies have suggested that the modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (mGPS) could be a potential biomarker for lung cancer (LC). However, the association between mGPS and overall survival (OS) or progression-free survival (PFS) in lung cancer patients remains unclear. The purpose of our study was to investigate possible correlation between mGPS and OS or PFS in LC patients. ⋯ Our results demonstrate that positive mGPS is associated with poor survival results. Therefore, mGPS may be used as a biomarker for predicting prognosis in LC patients.

Motor Speech Disorders is an umbrella term for a set of separate dysfunctions of speech outcome associated with neurological disorders. Motor speech disorders (MSD) are classified as Speech Motor delay (SMD), Childhood dysarthria (CD), Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), and Concurrent CD and CAS. The incidence and prevalence of MSD in population is uncertain. ⋯ Hence, current narrative review was conducted to review and highlight treatment of MSD since evidence-based treatment approach may benefit patient even years after a brain lesion. To achieve this objective literature search was conducted using search engines and data bases including google, google scholar, web of science & PubMed from 1998 to 2023 with keywords "motor speech disorder, dysarthria, apraxia, speech motor delay and combinations of these words with English language and no other limitations. Our search revealed 170 articles, news, publications of which 34 were used for review (Fig.1).

To determine the frequency of A2 and A2B subgroups among blood groups A and AB in healthy donors. ⋯ Blood group A2 and A2B do exist in blood donors of Punjabi ethnicity. The knowledge of presence of these blood groups' phenotypes in our population can provide a better base for transfusion staff to do troubleshooting in compatibility testing and to avoid any rare but hazardous transfusion outcome.

To identify concordance and discordance between GeneXpert MTB/RIF assay and gold standard bacteriologic culture for the diagnosis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) in Extra-Pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) specimens in our region. ⋯ GeneXpert sensitivity for the diagnosis of EPTB varied with the site involved. Lower sensitivity was observed in ascitic and pleural fluids as compared to higher sensitivity observed among urine samples and pus aspirates. However, given the quick turnaround time and ease of use, it is a helpful tool in the diagnosis of EPTB when utilized in the appropriate clinical context. Caution is advised while interpreting negative GeneXpert results in endemic settings and should be interpreted along with other supporting clinical and diagnostic features.

Non-adherence to tuberculosis (TB) treatment is the leading cause of the increase in drug resistance cases. This study will determine the effectiveness of pharmaceutical-care-based interventions coupled with short messages delivered by a pharmacist on treatment outcomes and adherence among TB patients. ⋯ The study will make available fundamental information about the influence of the patient centered program on the adherence and clinical outcomes of patients with TB.Trial status and registration: Clinical Trials.gov assigned Identifier NCT04645836.
