Climate Change and Diabetes Mellitus - Emerging Global Public Health Crisis: Observational Analysis.
Climate change is the most pressing challenge of the 21st century. It's immediate impacts on the environment are extreme weather conditions such as heatwaves, storms, rains, floods, sealevel rise, the disruption of crops, agricultural systems, water, vector-borne diseases, and ecosystems. The weather-related disasters disturbed the natural biological environment and dislocated millions of people from their homes. ⋯ The rapid rise in temperatures, frequencies of heat waves, wildfires, storms, and other weather extremes conditions could affect human health in many ways. The one-degree Celsius rise in outdoor temperature causes over 100,000 new cases of diabetes mellitus per annum. Climate change compromised body metabolism, vasodilation, sweating, insulin resistance and cause Type-2 diabetes mellitus and gestational diabetes Mellitus.

To explore the prognostic value of ankle brachial index (ABI), serum microribonucleic acid-103 (miR-103), and lipoprotein associated phospholipase A2 (LP-PLA2) indicators in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). ⋯ Abnormal ABI, and high serum miR-103 and LP-PLA2 levels are independent risk factors for poor prognosis in AIS patients. They can be used as important indicators for predicting the prognosis of AIS.

A missense variant in the PACS2 gene cause Epileptic Encephalopathy and seizures in Saudi family.
We identified the PACS2 gene responsible for the multifunctional sorting protein that play a role in nuclear gene expression as well as pathway traffic regulation. Diseases associated with PACS2 include early infantile epileptic encephalopathy (EIEE66), alacrima, achalasia, and mental retardation syndrome. Whole exome sequencing (WES) technique was used for the identification of variants that may lead to the disease. ⋯ Glu209Lys in exon-6 of PACS2. The detected heterozygous mutation in the exon-6 region of PACS2 gene change the protein features and may cause disease. Further, explain the possibility that PACS2 gene play important role to cause intellectual disability, epilepsy and epileptic encephalopathies in this Saudi family.

To identify a correlation between the clinical parameters and CT chest severity score in COVID-19. ⋯ Higher CT severity score corresponds to a higher clinical severity and higher chances of mortality.

To explore the safety and efficacy of metastatic osteosarcoma treatment with combined sintilimab injection and chemotherapy. ⋯ The treatment of metastatic osteosarcoma with combined sintilimab injection and chemotherapy was found to prolong progression-free survival and overall survival time without increasing the incidence of adverse reactions.
