Osteoporosis is a global health concern characterized by reduced bone density and compromised bone quality, resulting in an increased risk of fractures, particularly in postmenopausal women. The assessment of bone mineral density (BMD) plays a pivotal role in diagnosing osteoporosis, as it accounts for approximately 70% of overall bone strength. The World Health Organization (WHO) has endorsed BMD measurement as a reliable method for diagnosing this condition. ⋯ The intricate relationship between bone density, bone quality, and overall bone strength is central to understanding the diagnosis and management of osteoporosis. Current innovation in machine learning and predictive model can bring revolution in the field of bone health and osteoporosis. Early identification of people with osteoporosis or risk of fracture through machine learning can prevent disability and improve the quality of life.

Seizures as the only presentation of Pulmonary Embolism in the absence of Respiratory Symptoms.
Pulmonary embolism is a life-threatening emergency. Seizure as the clinical presentation of pulmonary embolism is extremely rare. ⋯ Based on raised D-Dimers and echocardiography a provisional diagnosis of pulmonary embolism was made, which was confirmed on CT angiogram that showed bilateral saddle pulmonary embolism. Clinicians need to be aware that Pulmonary embolism is a possibility as the differential diagnosis for unexplained, new-onset of seizure activity.

To investigate the pathogen distribution and clinical characteristics of acute community-acquired lower respiratory tract infections (CALRTIs). ⋯ Acute community-acquired lower respiratory tract infections(CALRTIs) take bacteria, viruses and atypical pathogens as its leading pathogenic bacteria. In the treatment of patients with acute CALRTIs, early pathogenic examination should be performed to assist in guiding antibiotic therapy for rapid control, early recovery and ameliorated clinical outcomes.

To determine the clinical spectrum, neuroimaging findings, and outcome of Acute Disseminated Encephalomyelitis (ADEM) in children. ⋯ The clinical presentation of ADEM is variable, but the most common symptoms are fever, headache, and altered consciousness. Despite generally favorable outcome, long-term monitoring revealed that patients may experience motor deficits, seizures, cognitive impairment, and academic difficulties.

To evaluate the effects of ganciclovir combined with recombinant human interferon on clinical efficacy and immune function of children with infectious mononucleosis(IM). ⋯ Ranciclovir combined with recombinant human interferon-α1b, rapid improvements of clinical symptoms, significantly decreased inflammatory cytokines, improved T-lymphocyte function and no significant increase in adverse drug reactions were found in children with IM.
