The specific influence of the pre-pregnancy body mass index (PPBMI) on women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is unclear. Our objective was to investigate how PPBMI categories affect pregnancy and neonatal outcomes in women with GDM. ⋯ PPBMIs significantly impact pregnancy outcomes in women with GDM. Both underweight and overweight/obese categories are associated with adverse outcomes, highlighting the need for pre-pregnancy counseling and interventions to achieve and maintain a healthy BMI.

To determine the diagnostic accuracy and procedure safety of ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy of extra cranial solid masses in the pediatric population. ⋯ Ultrasound-guided percutaneous core needle biopsy had high diagnostic accuracy and a good safety profile among children with extra cranial solid masses in private tertiary care hospital in Karachi Pakistan.

To determine the frequency of undiagnosed hypertension among the diabetic patients with micro vascular complications. ⋯ In the present study, a substantial proportion of patients with diabetic micro vascular complications suffered undiagnosed hypertension which is alarming and advocates routine blood pressure monitoring of such patients so that timely identification and anticipated management of underlying hypertension may improve the outcome of such cases in future clinical practice.

The aim of the study was to examine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on frequency of well-child follow-up visits and immunization rate in Turkish tertiary reference hospital's Well-Child Care Outpatient Clinic. ⋯ The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on healthcare. In addition to the effects that emerged during the pandemic period, it is predicted that there will be many reflections in the post-pandemic period, especially affecting the vulnerable population. Although our study was conducted in a single centre, it is of great importance in terms of revealing the efforts made by healthcare workers in the field of child health follow-up and vaccination during the pandemic period and emphasising that primary healthcare services should continue.

To evaluate the clinical efficacy of bladder function training combined with pelvic floor biofeedback electrical stimulation in the treatment of neurogenic bladder and its impact on urodynamics. ⋯ The application of bladder function training combined with pelvic floor biofeedback electrical stimulation is significantly effective for treating neurogenic bladder, which can significantly improve the storage and voiding functions of patients, alleviate lower urinary tract symptoms, and improve patients' quality of life.
