To compare the effects of ultrasound-guided serratus anterior plane block (SAPB) and thoracic paravertebral block (TPVB) on postoperative analgesia and inflammation control in patients undergoing upper abdominal surgery. ⋯ SAPB block under ultrasound guidance for patients undergoing upper abdominal surgery has good anesthetic and analgesic effect and can significantly improve the level of postoperative inflammation.

To analyze the effects of high tibial osteotomy (HTO) combined with arthroscopy on the degree of inflammation and the gait activity indexes of patients with medial knee osteoarthritis. ⋯ HTO combined with Arthroscopy in patients with medial knee osteoarthritis improves the curative effect and the degree of inflammation, and it promotes the recovery of gait activity indices.

Through this study, we sought to evaluate the management of posterior fossa extradural hematoma (PFEDH). ⋯ In conclusion, PFEDH was frequent among males and the pediatric age group. Serial CT brain is highly recommended in all suspected cases for early diagnosis.

To analyze the effect of the combined low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) and amikacin treatment on the bacterial clearance and changes in coagulation function in patients with severe pneumonia (SP). ⋯ Combining LMWH with amikacin in the treatment of elderly SP patients can improve the coagulation function and bacterial clearance, can promote the recovery of patients and has a good clinical application value.

To analyze the impact of previous cesarean section on rates of obstetrical hysterectomy among women with placenta previa. ⋯ Strong association of previous number of cesarean section and obstetrical hysterectomy was found with placenta previa. There should be protocols for early identification and prediction of adverse outcomes among women with placenta previa with past history of cesarean section.
