To investigate the effects of proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) and total hip arthroplasty for the treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures. ⋯ PFNA and total hip arthroplasty can both achieve good results for treatment of femoral intertrochanteric fractures. PFNA offers less trauma and shorter operations, while total hip arthroplasty offers advantages in terms of more rapid limb function improvements and shorter rehabilitation processes. The two kinds of surgery have advantages, and the clinical needs to have a careful look at various factors and choose the appropriate operation method.

To investigate the clinical features of patients with myasthenia gravis complicated with and without hyperthyroidism. ⋯ Patients with MG complicated with hyperthyroidism are mainly female, with a lower age of onset, a lower level of acetylcholine receptor antibody, a lower incidence of thymoma, and a higher incidence of thymic hyperplasia. The clinical features of such patients are remarkably different from those of MG without thyroid disease.

To investigate the effect of 1% procaine injection, which is used in neural therapy, on shoulder pain and dysfunction in patients diagnosed with supraspinatus tendinopathy. ⋯ This is one of the rare studies showing the effects of neural therapy application on shoulder pain severity and dysfunction in patients with supraspinatus tendinitis who are resistant to medical therapy.

To investigate the efficacy of different methylprednisolone regimens in the treatment of myasthenia gravis (MG). ⋯ The medium-dose periodic therapy of methylprednisolone is more prominent in the long-term efficacy performance. It can improve the immunity and quality of life of patients, and it is safer and has high clinical application value.

To assess the preparedness of fresh medical graduates to perform the duties of an effective house officer in clinical settings independently. ⋯ Medical graduates are not confident and well prepared to take the responsibility of patient care independently in clinical settings. Reforms in undergraduate curricula regarding skill training, hospital setup and workings and inter-professional education are advocated by young doctors to enhance their competencies for professional life.
