Micro implant anchorage (MIA), as a new orthodontic treatment technique, has the characteristics of simple operation, light trauma, and high stability, and has been widely used in clinical practice. This study compared the therapeutic effects of MIA and the traditional straight wire appliance (SWA) in orthodontic practice. ⋯ Compared with SWA, MIA is associated with better orthodontic effect. This mode of treatment can increase OPG levels, reduce inflammation, and lower the risk of complications.

Patient's family satisfaction is a crucial but often overlooked indicator of the quality of the intensive care unit (ICU). The goal was to assess how satisfied patients' families were with the treatment they received for terminally ill patients, where we worked with them to create a care plan. ⋯ The study showed involving family members in the care plan and helping them prepare for death not only helps them deal better but also makes them feel satisfied with the treatment they received in the intensive care unit, It makes them appreciate that they were able to participate in the decision-making process.

There are different clinicopathological features between early and late onset colorectal cancer. We aimed to characterize the histological features of colorectal cancer (CRC) at different age groups in our institution. ⋯ This study signifies that mucinous and signet ring cell type CRC present at an early age and with a higher proportion of patients with high tumour grade. Early diagnosis is key to help improve outcomes in these patients.

To access the frequency of depression and anxiety among the various blood groups of medical and physiotherapy students. ⋯ Severe anxiety was common in blood Group-B while severe depression was common in people with blood Group-A. While mild anxiety and mild depression was found in blood Group-A, however, sever anxiety was common in positive Rhesus factor blood types while severe depression was found in negative Rhesus factor blood types.

The relationship of Vitamin-D (VD) with Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Follicle stimulating Hormone (FSH) and Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is recognized. This study was conducted to determine whether VD is a predictor of fertility and investigate its relationship with female reproductive hormones and markers of ovarian reserve in female population of Karachi. ⋯ VD deficiency was prevalent in all infertile female subjects. VD levels were strong predictor of fertility in the study population. The significant association of VD with FSH explained the indirect effect of VD on follicular development and ovarian functions however no relationship of VD with ovarian reserve was exhibited.
