To explore the effect of dexmedetomidine hydrochloride on perioperative inflammation and postoperative lung infection in patients with spinal tuberculosis. ⋯ Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride has obvious anti-inflammatory effects and can reduce the incidence of pulmonary complications after surgery.

To derive Duchenne muscular dystrophy patient specific induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from CD3+T cells of DMD patients using episomal reprogramming and characterization of these DMD-iPSCs using immunofluorescence to confirm their pluripotent state. ⋯ CD3+ T cell derived DMD-iPSCs were obtained under feeder free and xeno-free culture conditions using episomal reprogramming.

The over-burdened healthcare facilities at the verge of collapse may miss out on the chronic non-Covid patients which would ultimately lead to increased morbidity and mortality.

To analyze trends of CSs and evaluating them according to Robson's Ten Groups Classification System (TGCS) at a leading government tertiary care hospital of South Punjab, Pakistan. ⋯ As per Robson's Ten-Group Classification, Group-10 and Group-5 were found to be the most contributing among deliveries done. Previous cesarean section and fetal distress were the most common indications of cesarean section.

Epidemiological studies of community acquired acute kidney injury (AKI) are sparse especially from South Asia and none has published from Pakistan. Reported incidences from different countries vary with use of different criteria of defining AKI. There is also variation found in different class of income countries, hospital based versus community based AKI. ⋯ From Pakistan epidemiology for community acquired AKI has never been published on a large scale and this study would remain source of great information in this regard over coming years.
