A paradigm shift towards a PBL bidirectional dialogic feedback can enhance learners' performance. This study aimed to investigate undergraduate medical students' perceptions of their PBL feedback. ⋯ Many of our PBL tutors have started the shift to a dialogic bi-directional feedback. We recommend continuing the faculty development efforts, peer-reviewing, and seeking student's feedback within the academic quality satisfaction surveys.

To determine relationship between immediate postpartum umbilical cord pH, fetal distress and neonatal outcome. ⋯ Low umbilical cord pH values of babies born by cesarean section (for fetal distress) are strongly correlated with low APGAR score at birth and higher rates of NICU admission.

Growing evidence shows that oxidative stress plays an important role in the development and progression of nephrotic syndrome (NS). In this study, we aimed to examine serum IMA levels as an indicator of oxidative stress in children with steroid-sensitive NS (SSNS) in remission and relapse. ⋯ Our findings demonstrated that elevated IMA and adjusted IMA levels observed in patients with SSNS were associated with increased oxidative stress and could indirectly reflect the degree of oxidative damage in glomerular structures.

We conducted this study to assess the prevalence of plagiarism and to shed light on some dark aspects of this issue. The main objectives included to find out the etiology, prevalence, and detection of various forms plagiarism. ⋯ We found a noticeable prevalence of plagiarism in Iran. Many factors are involved in this misconduct; most important being the need for academic staff and students to publish e more papers regardless of their quality to meet some of the academic requirements. To compare early subjective and objective vision quality of postoperative patients undergoing phacoemulsification cataract surgery combined with implantation of refractive segmental multifocal intraocular lens (MIOL) SBL-3 and apodized diffractive MIOL SN6AD1. ⋯ Both the two multifocal intraocular lens provided an excellent level of quality of vision three months postoperatively. However, the application effect of SBL-3 MIOL is superior to that of SN6AD1 MIOL as far as intermediate vision, near vision and contrast sensitivity are concerned.
