To analyze the efficacy and safety of decitabine combined with CAG ((cytarabine + aclacinomycin + granulocyte colony stimulating factor)) regimen and CAG regimen alone in the treatment of elderly acute myeloid leukemia. ⋯ The combination of decitabine and CAG regimen is effective in the treatment of elderly patients with acute myeloid leukemia. The therapy can fully inhibit cellular immune function and improve long-term survival rate, and its safety has a small difference with that of CAG regimen alone. It is worth clinical promotion.

To evaluate the feasibility and safety of marking targeting biopsy (MTB) in the intraoperative localization value of colon polypectomy. ⋯ The localization value of MTB in colon polypectomy is definitely feasible, safe and effective, which can greatly shorten the time of endoscopic colon polypectomy, mitigate patient sufferings, and reduce the incidence of false negative rate of polyp. It displays favorable clinical application value and is worthy of being promoted in clinic.

The value of gastric residual volume (GRV) monitoring in ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) has frequently been questioned in the past years. In this trial, the effect of GRV on the frequency of VAP was evaluated in critically ill patients under mechanical ventilation. ⋯ Increased GRV did not result in increased rates of VAP, ICU length of stay, and mortality. Therefore, the routine measurement of GRV as an important element of the VAP prevention bundle is not recommended in critically ill patients.

To determine the frequency of vertebral fractures in patients presenting with hip fractures. ⋯ There is a high prevalence of asymptomatic vertebral fractures in our population, but low compared to studies from western countries. There is a need to evaluate these fractures separately for the prevention of morbidity and mortality.

Case Reports
Gastric perforation following improper cardiopulmonary resuscitation in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.
Gastric perforation is a rare complication of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), mostly resulting from incorrect airway management. If left unrecognized, it is associated with high mortality and morbidity. We present a case of gastric perforation after improper CPR. ⋯ The laceration was repaired without any difficulty and the patient was discharged home without any neurological deficit. The aim of this report is to remind the public and emergency physicians that gastric perforation should be suspected in patients with distended abdomen and pneumoperitoneum after CPR. Because the most common risk factor for CPR-related gastric perforation is the bystander-provided resuscitation, it is encouraged for the public to take formal CPR training.
