Secondary school girls, ages 15 - 19 yrs were surveyed to find out the coping strategies they used when stressed. Adolescents, who are affected with stress and depression early in life, suffer from depression throughout their lives especially if they are utilizing improper ways to cope with it. ⋯ Majority of the adolescent girls in our survey, rely on emotion related coping mechanisms rather than problem solving mechanisms. This can cause long term implications in these adolescents as there is an increased probability to develop depression later on in life. Policy makers need to implement strategies for early identification of stress and depression. Talking to friends and family can serve as an effective way to cope with stress.

Pathological changes in the maxillary sinus mucosae of patients with recurrent odontogenic maxillary sinusitis.
To study the structural and functional changes of maxillary sinus mucosae of patients with odontogenic maxillary sinusitis, and to improve the therapeutic effects. ⋯ For patients with recurrent odontogenic maxillary sinusitis, the maxillary sinus mucosa mainly suffered from regeneration of epithelial tissues and inhibition of cell proliferation, which were accompanied by damages to the protective and shielding effects of the mucociliary transport system. Macrophages and lymphocytes dominated in the infiltration of autologous mucosal layer, and the coexisting copious fibroblasts indicated the onset of inflammation.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the security and effectiveness of AO/ASIF clavicle hook plate in the treatment of distal clavicle fractures and acromioclavicular joint dislocations. ⋯ AO/ASIF clavicle hook plate functioned more effectively than Kirschner-wire tension band in clinical treatment of distal clavicle fractures and acromioclavicular joint dislocations. The former protocol enjoyed small incisions, firm fixation and early shoulder mobility. Therefore, it is a safe and effective surgical method that is worthy of being widely applied in clinical practice.

Therefore, it is necessary to control blood pressure level to improve prognosis.
