Predicting medication nonadherence risk in a Chinese inflammatory rheumatic disease population: development and assessment of a new predictive nomogram.
The aim of this study was to develop and internally validate a medication nonadherence risk nomogram in a Chinese population of patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases. ⋯ This novel nonadherence nomogram incorporating the use of GC, the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the number of medicine-related questions, education level, and distance to hospital could be conveniently used to facilitate the individual medication nonadherence risk prediction in IRD patients.

Are frail elderly patients treated in a CGA unit more satisfied with their hospital care than those treated in conventional acute medical care?
Our aim was to study whether the acute care of frail elderly patients directly admitted to a comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA) unit is superior to the care in a conventional acute medical care unit in terms of patient satisfaction. ⋯ Acute care in a CGA unit with direct admission was associated with higher levels of patient satisfaction compared with conventional acute care via the emergency room.

Preference for a prefilled syringe or an auto-injection device for delivering golimumab in patients with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis: a randomized crossover study.
Simponi® (golimumab, MSD) is a fully human monoclonal antibody against tumor necrosis factor alpha administered subcutaneously using an autoinjector or a prefilled syringe. This study examined preference for administration of golimumab by autoinjector or prefilled syringe in patients with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis (UC). ⋯ Most patients with moderate-to-severe UC preferred to self-administer golimumab with the autoinjector over a prefilled syringe.

Health-related quality of life in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with different risk for obstructive sleep apnea.
Our study primarily aimed to investigate health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with different risk for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). ⋯ Our study found that high proportion of patients with T2DM are at high risk for OSA. Furthermore, we showed that group of T2DM patients with high risk for OSA has lower HRQoL in all SF-36 dimensions compared to low-risk patients.
