Psychometric Assessment of the Mandarin Version of the Decisional Conflict Scale with Pregnant Women Making Prenatal Test Decisions.
Women with high-risk pregnancies are often required to make choices about further prenatal testing for Down syndrome, but the decisional conflict they face is poorly understood. This study aimed to test the validity and reliability of the Mandarin version of the decisional conflict scale (M-DCS) in Chinese women with high-risk pregnancies making choices about further prenatal testing for Down syndrome. ⋯ The reliability and validity (content, construct, and concurrent) of the M-DCS were all demonstrated as good. This instrument is an important tool for researchers and health-care providers working with women with high-risk pregnancies who need to make choices about further prenatal testing for Down syndrome.

Imagine to Remember: An Episodic Future Thinking Intervention to Improve Medication Adherence in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes.
Medication nonadherence is prevalent in diabetic populations, with "forgetting" a commonly cited reason. This issue of forgetfulness is due, in part, to a failure of prospective memory (PM). Episodic future thinking (EFT) has been shown to improve PM but has not been used to improve medication adherence. ⋯ This study provides a feasible way to improve medication adherence in patients with prediabetes or type 2 diabetes.

This study aims to assess patients' levels of awareness and preferences of SDM in Saudi Arabia. ⋯ The study concludes that the more aware a patient is, the more likely they prefer SDM practice. This finding can support health-care policymakers in developing SDM policies that enhance patient-centered care.

The Association Between the Prevalence, Medication Adherence and Control of Hypertension and the Prevalence of Mild Cognitive Impairment in Rural Northern China: A Cross-Sectional Study.
High blood pressure is one of the main modifiable risk factors for dementia. However, it remains unclear whether lowering the blood pressure effectively prevents cognitive impairment. Our objective was to explore the association between the prevalence, medication adherence and control of hypertension and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) among elderly individuals in northern China. ⋯ There is an association between the prevalence of hypertension, adherence to AHMs and MCI, suggesting that hypertensives should be screened for MCI to provide improved diagnoses and optimal therapeutics for cognitive decline prevention, especially in poor AHM adherence.
