Electronic Smart Blister Packages to Monitor and Support Medication Adherence: A Usability Study.
An electronic version of the Dosepak® (EDP) which records date and time of dosing events has been developed to monitor adherence to medication packaged in blisters. This study aimed to evaluate its usability and acceptance and to monitor dose-taking adherence for optimal implementation in future clinical trials and practice. ⋯ EDP had good perceived usability, was well accepted, and differed significantly from other adherence measurement methods. This study provides input to further guide scale-up of the blister packages.

Self-Reported Low Lithium Adherence Among Chinese Patients with Bipolar Disorder in Shenzhen: A Cross-Sectional Study.
Lithium has been widely used to treat bipolar disorder (BD), although its adherence is rarely reported in China. This study aimed to explore the rate of lithium adherence and its associated factors in patients with BD, which has rarely been reported in China. ⋯ The rate of lithium adherence was low in this study. Psychoeducation to increase lithium compliance should mainly focus on patients who are young and provide thorough background information on lithium. Health services should actively provide lithium-associated information. A greater need for medication information based on WeChat was observed, implying its potential role in adherence-related psychoeducation.

Analysis of Factors Influencing the Course of Rabies Vaccinations: One Year Study on Compliance of Rabies Vaccination Regimens in Haidian District of Beijing.
To identify the factors influencing the completion rate of the course of rabies vaccinations without considering the economic factors or the drug supplies. ⋯ The completion rate of the course of rabies vaccinations with Zagreb regimen was higher than Essen regimen. The completion rate was closely correlated with the vaccination scheme, but the duration of the vaccination scheme was the key factor. There was a linear relationship between the vaccination duration and the completion rate of the course of vaccinations, which can be represented by the following linear equation: the completion rate of the course of rabies vaccinations (%) = 98.342-0.999 × vaccination duration (d). Duration is the critical factor affecting the completion rate. To improve the completion rate of vaccination, it is recommended to use a shorter vaccination duration regimen.
