The Health-Related Quality of Life of Patients with Type 2 Diabetes in Saudi Arabia.
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the most common chronic diseases in the world. Diabetes mellitus has a major effect on patients' quality of life, especially when the patient has other comorbidities. Therefore, this study aims to assess the quality of life of type 2 diabetic patients in the Al-Ahsa region of Saudi Arabia. ⋯ Pain/discomfort, mobility, and depression/anxiety are the main problems that are affecting diabetic patients' quality of life. Future studies are recommended to explore the effectiveness of patient tailored interventions to decrease the negative impact of these dimensions on patients' quality of life.

Dental Patients' Medical Information Disclosure and Sociodemographic Determinants: A Cross Sectional Study.
To evaluate the patient's willingness to declare their medical history to their dentists against demographic and medical information. ⋯ The population's willingness to reveal their medical information in the dental office is crucial. Though was within acceptable limit but still deficient. Age, education, occupation and marital status have a significant effect on disclosing and awareness. Educating patients and raising their awareness may aid in reducing emergencies, errors, and legal issues in the dental office.

Individuals' Experiences of Being Screened for Hypertension in Dental Health Care - "No Big Deal".
Hypertension is a common disease globally that accounts for the highest number of lost healthy life years and strongly associated with sequelae such as stroke and myocardial infarction. Early detection of individuals with high blood pressure can be ensured by screening also those who consider themselves "healthy". Screening has both positive and negative effects where a diagnosis of hypertension can lead to worry about the future. These effects need to be elucidated in order to balance between benefit and harm before screening is introduced. The aim of the study was to describe individuals' experiences of being screened for hypertension in dental health care. ⋯ The overall message from the interviews was that having one's blood pressure measured when visiting the dentist was convenient, easy and "No big deal". Blood pressure screening did not create any major concerns and contributed to an increased awareness of health.

Drivers of and Barriers to Adherence to Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Macular Edema Treatment Management Plans: A Multi-National Qualitative Study.
Neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and diabetic macular edema (DME) patients treated with intravitreally injected anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) monotherapies achieve lower vision improvements compared with patients in clinical trials. This qualitative research study aimed to better understand the real-world anti-VEGF treatment experience from nAMD and DME patients', caregivers', and retina specialists' perspectives. ⋯ This study highlights the importance of the doctor-patient relationship and patient education as key drivers, and treatment tolerability and logistics as key barriers to treatment adherence. Improved doctor-patient relationship/communication and patient education together with new therapies offering convenience, long-acting effectiveness, and better tolerability may improve treatment adherence.

Exploring Parent's Satisfaction and the Effectiveness of Preformed Metal Crowns Fitting by Hall Technique for Carious Primary Molars in Jeddah Region, Saudi Arabia: Findings of a Prospective Cohort Study.
The Hall technique (HT) is a non-invasive approach to treating carious primary teeth. Its acceptability by parents and effectiveness is not widely known in the Middle East. Therefore, we aimed to conduct this study to explore the effectiveness of preformed metal crowns (PMCs) fitting by HT and to what extent the parent's satisfaction for their children in Jeddah region. ⋯ The HT is effective as a treatment of dental caries and it was generally accepted by parents initially and during their follow-up visits.
