The Covid-19 pandemic appeared in China in December 2019 as a cluster of transmissible pneumonia caused by a new betacoronavirus. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared it a pandemic. Covid-19 is a mild infection in 80% of cases, serious in 15% and critical in 5%. ⋯ The second has been favored in critical periods such as April 2020, when 2.5 billion people throughout the world were confined. Vaccination campaigns got underway at the end of December 2020 and progressed without reaching sufficient herd immunity, leading some nations to consider compulsory vaccination or to require a vaccine or health pass, in order for persons to access different activities. Will the pandemic stop with Omicron and become endemic? This part of the Covid-19 story remains to be told.

There have been great advances in the management of ANCA associated vasculitis over the past decades. We have gone from an era where the disease was almost universally fatal to trying to prevent long-term side effects of treatment regimens. ⋯ Steroids have long been the bane of treatment as they are associated with a significant risk of infection and metabolic consequences. We are now in a steroid-sparing and looking ahead to a steroid-free era with new data being published showing lower doses of steroids being equally effective and several ongoing seminal trials looking at agents that could completely replace steroids very early on.

IgG4-related hypophysitis is a rare disease, due to a lymphoplasmocytic IgG4 positive infiltration of the pituitary. Literature data are scarce, even though the description of cases has drastically increased over the last years. The aim of this review is to better characterize the natural history, the diagnosis and the management of IgG4-related hypophysitis, based on a clinical case, an exhaustive Pubmed research, and a reappraisal of the criteria for diagnosis. We will specifically focus on the differences with other etiologies of hypophysitis, in the aim of improving the diagnostic procedures for all the physicians who could have to take care of such patients.

Recent evidences show that rituximab could be an effective therapeutic option for adult-onset IgAV, but this also needs to be confirmed in controlled trials. In this review, we focus on therapeutic options for adult-onset IgAV treatment, and discuss the main results of the studies performed so far.
