Multicenter Study
[Multicenter study of gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms prevalence in outpatients in Russia].
Recently, there has been an increase in the prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in Northern Europe, North America and East Asia. However data on GERD prevalence in Russian population are very limited. ⋯ The results of this study indicate a high prevalence of GERD among residents of Russian cities applying for primary health care (34.2%). In comparison with previous studies, an increase in the proportion of GERD patients taking proton pump inhibitors was noted; in most cases the regimen of their intake was in accordance with the recommendations.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
[The results of phase III multicenter open randomized controlled study REM-Chol-III-16 in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis syndrome caused by chronic diffuse liver diseases].
To assess the safety and efficacy of Remaxol, solution for infusion, compared with parenteral form of S-adenosyl-L-methionine, in the treatment of patients with intrahepatic cholestasis syndrome accompanying chronic diffuse liver diseases of various etiology. ⋯ Administration of Remaxol as a part of the pathogenetic therapy of patients with intrahepatic cholestasis syndrome who need hepatoprotection is justified.

To assess the influence of the therapy of arterial hypertension with azilsartan medoxomil on the renal function in overweight or obese patients with concomitant metabolic disorders. ⋯ Azilsartan medoxomil, prescribed as monotherapy or in free combinations, provided an effective control of blood pressure in patients with arterial hypertension with both normal or moderately reduced and initially significantly reduced renal function. High efficacy and acceptability of the drug was associated with a beneficial effect on renal function, which allows to consider azilsartan medoxomil as the drug of choice for the treatment of hypertension in patients with concomitant metabolic disorders.

Multicenter Study
[The first Russian multicenter non-interventional registry study to study the incidence of vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency in Russian Federation].
To assess the incidence of vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency among the adult population living in the regions of the Russian Federation located at latitudes from 45 to 70. ⋯ In this study, 72.1% of the examined have the status of vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency, while an adequate level was diagnosed in 27.8% of cases. When assessing the degree of vitamin D deficiency depending on the season, statistically significant differences (p0.00001) were found between the periods: vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency was observed in 84.2% of autumn and in 62.4% of spring. The highest incidence of vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency was recorded in males compared with females (p=0.013, 79 and 70.3% respectively). Vitamin D deficiency is observed in young people in the age subgroup of 1825 years (p0.001, 54% in the study as a whole) much more often than in older people Conclusion. The widespread high prevalence of vitamin D deficiency in the Russian Federation is not related to geographic region of residence, but to some extent depends on the season. The high-risk group for vitamin D deficiency and insufficiency is young men. The significant role of vitamin D in the human body justifies the need to supplement and clarify a single concept for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions associated with deficiency, so higher implementation of National Clinical Guidelines is needed.
