The aims of this study are to determine the incidence and more frequent localizations of orbital fat tissue herniation accompanying dehiscences in the medial orbital wall and to investigate the relationship between orbital fat tissue herniations and the anterior and posterior ethmoidal foramina. ⋯ Zone 3 is the weakest area of the medial orbital wall, and zone 3 is the most prone to herniation of fat tissue. The association of orbital fat tissue herniations with the anterior ethmoidal foramen is extremely common. Being cognizant of this finding may help a surgeon better estimate the anatomical view to be met before functional endoscopic sinus surgery as well as to minimize the risk of possible orbital complications, especially anterior ethmoidal artery injury.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the risk of transmission of SARS-CoV-2 has not been precisely known in bronchoscopy procedures. We have designed a cabinet device called Ankara University Bronchoscopy Cabinet (Aubrocab®) to protect healthcare. We aimed to evaluate preventing effect of Aubrocab® on aerosol spreading by measuring the particles in the bronchoscopy suite. ⋯ Our institution developed a barrier device named Aubrocab® which was shown to prevent excessive aerosol release in addition to routine precautions during bronchoscopy procedures.

Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) and antimitochondrial antibodies (AMA) have essential markers for the diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). These autoantibodies are detecting different laboratory methods. In this study, we studied the diagnostic performance of used methods in detecting ANA and AMA. ⋯ AIH/PBC has complex associations with different autoantibodies, and some of these antibodies are not readily detected by the IIF test. IB assays with a wide variety of liver-specific antigens may be helpful in the diagnosis (especially in patients with AMA negative PBC) and follow-up in AIH/PBC patients.

To analyze postmastectomy radiation therapy (PMRT) utilization and its association with overall survival (OS) in patients presenting with node-positive breast cancer who are pathologically node-negative (ypN0) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). ⋯ The delivery of PMRT has increased over time in women presenting with clinically node-positive breast cancer who convert to ypN0 after NAC. While we identified multiple independent socioeconomic and clinical predictors of both PMRT utilization and survival, PMRT itself was not significantly associated with survival.

Mini/one anastomosis gastric bypass (MGB-OAGB) is a bariatric surgery procedure that has proved effective for weight loss and the resolution of metabolic disorders. The present study evaluates the effect on postoperative outcomes of resecting the corpus and fundus as an addition to OAGB. ⋯ The addition of resection of the gastric fundus and corpus to an OAGB has no impact on postoperative weight loss or metabolic outcomes.
