Comparison of rigid and elastic registration methods in software-based targeted prostate biopsy: a multicenter cohort study.
This study aims to compare the success rates of rigid registration (RR) and elastic registration (ER) systems in diagnosing all cancers and clinically significant prostate cancer (csPC) in software-based targeted prostate biopsies (TPBs) by performing matching analysis. ⋯ While the detection rate of csPC was similar for the RR and ER systems, the detection rate of all cancers and ciPC was significantly higher with the ER systems.

Evaluation of single-layer versus double-layer suturing of low transverse uterine incisions in cesarean section and follow-up of scars by ultrasound: a prospective randomized controlled study.
Cesarean section (CS) is a widely performed operation worldwide but data about uterine closure are lacking. We aimed to evaluate scar niches and compare single-layer and double-layer uterine closure at 6 months following CS. ⋯ The single- and double-layer closure techniques do not produce different impacts on CS niche features at 6 months after delivery. Ultrasound might be an important noninvasive diagnostic tool for understanding CS scar remodeling.

Relationship between functional status and fatigue after COVID-19 infection: a multicenter study from Türkiye.
Symptoms of COVID-19 may persist for months. One of the persistent symptoms of COVID-19 is fatigue, which reduces functional status. The relationship between fatigue, functional status, and various other factors has received little attention, which this study aims to address.. ⋯ Fatigue may cause poorer functional status regardless of the time since COVID-19 diagnosis. In this study, patients with FSS scores of >4.78 showed moderate to severe functional limitations. It is important to address modifiable patient risk factors and reduce the severity of COVID-19 infection.

Minimally invasive sacroiliac fusion: current insights and a comprehensive literature review.
The sacroiliac joint (SIJ) is a frequently overlooked source of lower back pain (LBP). Recently, it has gained recognition as a significant pain generator, prompting increased interest in surgeries targeting this area. Traditionally, open SIJ fusion was used to stabilize pelvic and sacral fractures, and then it was adapted for use in pain management until the development of minimally invasive surgery (MIS). Revolutionizing the field, MIS offers fast and effective pain relief with significantly less risk of postsurgical adverse events, thereby gaining increased attention among surgeons. This review aims to highlight the current advancements in the literature regarding MIS SIJ fusion. ⋯ The current literature demonstrates the superiority of MIS over open surgery with satisfactory patient outcomes and significantly lower complication rates. With the advancement in navigation and the inclusion of robotic assistance, MIS SIJ fusion is expected to become more ergonomically feasible for surgeons and shorten the learning curve for new trainees worldwide.

Spinal stabilization exercises for transversus abdominis and lumbar multifidus thickness via telerehabilitation and face-to-face approaches in patients with nonspecific chronic neck pain: a randomized controlled trial.
Strengthening the muscles of the lumbar region in individuals with neck pain may be protective against future back problems. In addition, telerehabilitation applications, which gained momentum in the literature and clinical practice during the COVID-19 pandemic, are among the applications preferred by patients thanks to their various advantages. This study aimed to compare the effects of telerehabilitation and spinal stabilization exercises applied with face-to-face approaches on the thickness of the transversus abdominis (M.TrA) and lumbar multifidus (M.LM) muscles in patients with nonspecific neck pain. ⋯ Telerehabilitation and face-to-face spinal stabilization exercises are both beneficial for spinal muscle architecture and clinical variables as a preventive measure against future lower back problems in individuals with neck pain.
