Family presence during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and invasive procedures: a meta-synthesis.
To synthesize the best qualitative evidence regarding the perception of family members, patients and health professionals about family presence during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and invasive procedures. ⋯ The perception of family members, patients and professionals about family presence is still controversial. The sensitization of these subjects can potentiate the practice by making it more systematized and qualified.

To identify and describe which dressings are recommended to prevent surgical site infection in hospitalized adult patients after cardiac surgeries. ⋯ It was not possible to identify which dressing is most recommended, however, some studies show that certain types of dressings were related to the reduction of infection. Clinical trials with a rigorous methodological design and representative samples able to minimize the risk of bias should be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of dressings in the prevention of surgical site infection.

[Effectiveness of heparin versus 0.9% saline solution in maintaining the permeability of central venous catheters: a systematic review].
Determining which is the most effective solution (heparin flush compared to 0.9% saline flush) for reducing the risk of occlusions in central venous catheters (CVC) in adults. ⋯ Saline solution is sufficient for maintaining patency of the central venous catheter, preventing the risks associated with heparin administration.

To analyze the scientific production about the validity and reliability of the Manchester Triage System (MTS) protocol. ⋯ The reliability and validity of the MTS obtained in the studies is varied. It is recommended that new studies indicate necessary modifications to the MTS so that it is more safely used by nurses.
