To estimate the effect of low-dose aspirin started in early pregnancy on the incidence of preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). ⋯ Low-dose aspirin initiated in early pregnancy is an efficient method of reducing the incidence of preeclampsia and IUGR.

To estimate the effects of early augmentation with oxytocin for slow progress of labor on the delivery method and on indicators of maternal and neonatal morbidity. ⋯ Early oxytocin for augmentation in labor is associated with an increase in spontaneous vaginal delivery.

Meta Analysis Comparative StudyEffects of antenatal exposure to magnesium sulfate on neuroprotection and mortality in preterm infants: a meta-analysis.
To review the evidence regarding neuroprotective effects of antenatal exposure to magnesium sulfate. ⋯ Fetal exposure to magnesium sulfate in women at risk of preterm delivery significantly reduces the risk of cerebral palsy without increasing the risk of death.

Meta AnalysisTocolytic therapy: a meta-analysis and decision analysis.
To determine the optimal first-line tocolytic agent for treatment of premature labor. ⋯ Although all current tocolytic agents were superior to no treatment at delaying delivery for both 48 hours and 7 days, prostaglandin inhibitors were superior to the other agents and may be considered the optimal first-line agent before 32 weeks of gestation to delay delivery.
