Randomized Controlled Trial
95% effective volume of ropivacaine for ultrasound‑guided supra‑inguinal fascia iliaca compartment block.
Hip arthroplasty is effective in treating hip diseases, such as osteoarthritis and hip fracture, but it often brings severe trauma and pain. In recent years, ultrasound-guided supra-inguinal fascia iliaca compartment block(S-FICB) has become a widely used nerve block method for analgesia in hip arthroplasty. ⋯ EV95 of 0.33% ropivacaine for ultrasound-guided S-FICB was 34.06ml.

Laryngeal edema following remimazolam-induced anaphylaxis: a rare clinical manifestation.
Remimazolam is an ultra-short-acting intravenous benzodiazepine, which has been used as sedative/anesthetic in procedural sedation and anesthesia. Although peri-operative anaphylaxis due to remimazolam has been reported recently, the spectrum of the allergic reactions is still not fully known. ⋯ Remimazolam-induced anaphylaxis has a rapid onset and complex clinical features. This case reminds anesthesiologists should be particularly alert to the unknown adverse reactions of new anesthetics.

Effect of butorphanol on visceral pain in patients undergoing gastrointestinal endoscopy: a randomized controlled trial.
Butorphanol slightly influences the respiratory and circulatory systems, has a better effect on relieving the discomfort caused by mechanical traction, and has a low incidence of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV). Combined butorphanol and propofol may suppress postoperative visceral pain, which is avoidable in gastrointestinal endoscopy. Thus, we hypothesized that butorphanol could decrease the incidence of postoperative visceral pain in patients undergoing gastroscopy and colonoscopy. ⋯ The trial indicated that adding butorphanol to propofol results in a lower incidence of visceral pain after surgery without noticeable fluctuations in circulatory and respiratory functions for gastrointestinal endoscopy patients.

Effect of interactive, multimedia-based home-initiated education on preoperative anxiety inchildren and their parents: a single-center randomized controlled trial.
Anesthesiologists need to appreciate the impact of preoperative anxiety in children. The present study aimed to explore whether interactive multimedia-based home-initiated interventions could effectively relieve preoperative anxiety in pediatric patients. ⋯ Interactive multimedia-based home-initiated intervention could reduce preoperative anxiety in children and improve the quality of anesthesia induction based on ICC scores, which may in turn impose a positive impact on parental anxiety.

Nowadays, people have paid more and more attention to the quality of physical and mental health recovery after oral surgery anesthesia. As a remarkable feature of patient quality management, it can effectively reduce the risk of postoperative complications and pain in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). However, the patient management model in oral PACU remains unknown, especially in China. The purpose of this study is to explore the management elements of patient quality management in the oral PACU and to construct the management model. ⋯ The patient quality management model of the oral PACU is helpful for the professional identity and career development of stomatological anesthesia staff in China, which can accelerate the professional development of oral anesthesia nursing quality. According to the model, the patient's pain and fear will decrease, meanwhile, safety and comfort will increase. It can make contributions to the theoretical research and clinical practice in the future.
