Observational Study
Intraoperative mechanical power and postoperative pulmonary complications in low-risk surgical patients: a prospective observational cohort study.
Inadequate intraoperative mechanical ventilation (MV) can lead to ventilator-induced lung injury and increased risk for postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs). Mechanical power (MP) was shown to be a valuable indicator for MV outcomes in critical care patients. The aim of this study is to assess the association between intraoperative MP in low-risk surgical patients undergoing general anesthesia and PPCs. ⋯ NCT03551899; 24/02/2017.

This study was identified the risk factors for and designed to investigate influence of postoperative moderate-to-severe pain of post anaesthesia care unit (PACU) in patients with malignancy. ⋯ The prediction model for postoperative moderate-to-severe pain of PACU in patients with malignancy has good predictive ability and high accuracy, which is helpful for PACU medical staff to identify and prevent postoperative moderate-to-severe pain in advance.

To evaluate and summarize literature pertaining to evidence of peripheral arterial catheterization in adults, and to provide a reference for clinical practice. ⋯ The removal of a peripheral arterial manometry catheter requires careful consideration by medical professionals. In order to increase the removal standardization rate and decrease the incidence of clinical complications, standardized procedures and training need to be developed.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Safety and effcacy of remimazolam tosilate for sedation during combined spinal-epidural anesthesia for orthopedic procedures: a randomized controlled trial.
The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of Remimazolam in the context of combined spinal-epidural anesthesia for sedation during orthopedic surgery. ⋯ This preliminary study demonstrates that remimazolam tosilate serves as a safe and effective sedative for orthopedic surgery performed under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia, in comparison with dexmedetomidine.
