Comparative Study[Experience in the use and comparative assessment of the effectiveness of crystalloid and blood cardioplegia].
Due to an increasing attention to questions of adequate protection of the myocardium and widely spread use of the method of blood cardioplegia the authors have made a comparative analysis of effectiveness of using 2 methods of cardioplegia--pharmacocrystalloid and cool blood antegrade cardioplegia: 34 patients were operated upon under conditions of extracorporeal blood circulation for aortic and mitral valve replacement. A comparison was made of 17 patients with intermittent antegrade cool crystalloid cardioplegia (group 1) and 17 patients with intermittent antegrade cold blood cardioplegia (group II). The results have shown that intermittent antegrade cool blood cardioplegia is a safe and effective method for myocardial protection during cardiopulmonary bypass.

Comparative Study[Cerebrospinal fluid fat globules in traumatic fat embolism].
The article is devoted to the problem of diagnosis and treatment of 28 patients with cranio-cerebral injury with posttraumatic fat embolism. In 15 of them fat liquoroglobulia was diagnosed which is a reliable symptom of the cerebral form of fat embolism. ⋯ A new method--liquorosorption--was used in treatment of patients with the cerebral form of fat embolism. A disturbance of the hematoencephalic barrier is thought by the authors to be possible in such embolism.

Comparative Study[Early surgical treatment of low-voltage electric burns of the hand in children].
Electrical burns give not more than 8% in the structure of burns in children. Most of the children suffer from burns by electrical current of 220 V, and invalidisation of the children can result from inadequate surgical treatment. Advantages of early operative treatment (primary or delayed necrectomy with different kinds of primary skin plastic) are proved as compared with traditional plastic of the granulating wounds. This method can be considered to be the method of choice in treatment of children with low voltage electrical burns of the hand.
