[The value of assay of (1, 3)-β-D-glucan in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid for detection of invasive pulmonary fungal infection in critically ill patients in intensive care unit].
To evaluate the value of (1, 3)-β-D-glucan (G test) in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) in diagnosing and determining the therapeutic effects among the critically ill patients suspected with invasive pulmonary fungal infection (IPFI). ⋯ It is suggested that BALF G test may be an useful test for early diagnosis of IPFI. Moreover, the dynamic change in G test values could be useful for assessing therapeutic response.

[Clinical observation of therapeutic effect of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To investigate the therapeutic effects and safety of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). ⋯ ECMO could improve gas exchange, oxygenation and partially replace pulmonary function. Patients with ARDS should be treated with ECMO early if artificial ventilation treatment was unresponsive.

[The application of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation in critically ill patient].
To evaluate the supportive effects on cardiopulmonary failure in critically ill patients treated with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). ⋯ ECMO has a rapid effect to temporarily support heart or lung function (partially or totally) during cardiopulmonary failure, leading to organ recovery. Attempts to reduce the incidence of complications might improve the prognosis of critically ill patients.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[The influence of lactate Ringer solution versus hydroxyethyl starch on coagulation and fibrinolytic system in patients with septic shock].
To investigate the influence of lactate Ringer solution (RL) versus hydroxyethyl starch 130/0.4 (HES130/0.4) solution on coagulation and fibrinolytic system in the patients with septic shock. ⋯ Both RL and HES130/0.4 fluid resuscitation did not affect the outcome of the patients with septic shock, but the resuscitation efficiency of HES130/0.4 is much better than RL. Both type of fluids did not show the effect on coagulability of the septic patients, but colloid fluid resuscitation may protect the vascular endothelial cell, reduce the inhibition of fibrinolytic system, and alleviate hypercoagulability state of patients in early stage.
