[The different effects of glutamine on macrophage cytokines release in vivo and in vitro].
To evaluate the effects of glutamine (Gln) on macrophages cytokines release and heat shock protein 72 (HSP72) expression in vivo and in vitro, and explore the anti-inflammation mechanisms of Gln during sepsis. ⋯ Gln can promote inflammatory cytokines release from macrophages in vitro, which cannot be attenuated by HSP72 expression induced by Gln in LPS challenged RAW264.7 macrophages. Gln treatment significantly decreases intracellular TNF-alpha and IL-6 levels in vivo during sepsis. HSP72 expression increases after Gln treatment both in vivo and in vitro. These data implicate that HSP72 may not play a major role in attenuating the inflammatory response after Gln administration in sepsis.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Study on the value of the formula of rapid synchronous stepwise increase in dosage of epinephrine combined with aminophylline (7 mg/kg) in cardiopulmonary resuscitation].
To investigate the effect of application and clinical value of use of epinephrine in graduate increased dosage according to the equation G=(K+2n-1)mg/3 minutes (K=1,2,n=1,2...5,G< or =0.2 mg/kg) combined with aminophylline in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). ⋯ The newly formed regime has better effects in increasing significantly the success rate of cardiac-resuscitation, the survival rate, and it also shortens the time for successful recovery of spontaneous circulation. It can improve the recovery of brain and nervous system function.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Study on safety and efficacy of concentrated potassium chloride infusions in critically ill patients with hypokalemia].
To explore the safety and clinical efficacy of intravenous infusion of concentrated potassium chloride using micro-pumps in critically ill patients with hypokalemia. ⋯ Under meticulous monitoring, it is safe and effective to infuse concentrated potassium for the critically ill patients with hypokalemia. This strategy can also be followed in patients with mild renal dysfunction but without oliguria or anuria under careful monitoring.
