[Predictive value of three surgical scoring systems for estimation of life expectancy in patients with extradural spinal metastasis].
To evaluate the predictive values of Tokuhashi score, revised Tokuhashi score and Tomita score systems for life expectancy and treatment options in patients with spinal metastasis. ⋯ All the three prognosis scores in patients with spinal metastasis were closely related with survival time. The combination of Tokuhashi score and Tomita score may be applied to better predict postoperative survival prognosis and guide the surgical options for patients with spinal metastasis.

[Relationship between EGFR and K-ras mutations and clinicopathological characteristics and response to erlotinib treatment in 301 Chinese patients with non-small cell lung cancer].
To investigate gene mutations of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and K-ras in Chinese patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and its clinicopathological significance, and to analyze the correlation between these mutations and tumor response to erlotinib treatment. ⋯ The frequency of EGFR mutation in Chinese NSCLC patients is higher than that in Westerners, but the frequency of K-ras mutation is quite opposite. Combined detection of EGFR gene and K-ras gene mutation may help clinicians to choose patients who may gain benefit from EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) treatment, and to predict their response to erlotinib treatment and prognosis.

[Prognostic value of estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 in node positive breast cancer patients treated by mastectomy].
To evaluate the prognostic value of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (Her-2) in node-positive breast cancer patients treated by mastectomy. ⋯ ER, PR and Her-2 are independent prognostic factors for locoregional recurrence and survival in node-positive breast cancer patients treated by mastectomy.

[Preliminary study on the validity of whole body diffusion-weighted imaging for the detection of malignant lesions].
To evaluate the validity of whole body diffusion-weighted imaging (WBDWI) for the detection of malignant lesions. ⋯ The validity of WBDWI is high, and it could be a new whole body imaging technique for staging of malignant tumors.

[Diagnostic value of ADC and rADC of diffusion weighted imaging in malignant breast lesions].
The aim of this study was to evaluate the value of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) in the diagnosis of patients with breast diseases. ⋯ DWI spends short time, and it doesn't need contrast material. ADC value and rADC value have a high sensitivity and specificity as a diagnostic indicator. DWI is helpful in improving the specificity of MR and may become one of valuable conventional procedures for breast tumor diagnosis.
